Семинар посвящен развитию сцинтилляционного метода — одного из важнейших методов регистрации ионизирующего излучения. Что такое сцинтилляторы? Какие они бывают? Как они помогали, помогают и будут помогать решать задачи физиков-экспериментаторов? От открытий Резерфорда до настоящего времени.
С 16:00 будет небольшой кофе-брейк, предваряющий семинар, сам доклад начнется в 16:15.

On Wednesday, 4 March, Ivan Suslov (junior researcher, DLNP) will make a seminar "Organic scintillators are a convenient tool for experimental physics" at the JINR Scientists' Club (6, Joliot-Curie St., side entrance, Main Hall).
The seminar is dedicated to the development of the scintillation method, one of the most important methods for detecting ionizing radiation. What are scintillators? What are they like? How have they helped, are they helping, and will they help solve the problems of experimental physicists? From Rutherford's discoveries to the present.
From 4:00 PM there will be a small coffee break to precede the seminar, the report itself will start at 4:15 PM.
